The BJP looks set to emerge as the single largest party in 2014 with 202 seats, far ahead of the Congress tally of 107. But even with its allies, the BJP lead NDA looks likely to be 45 seats short of a majority, leaving several regional players holding the key to power in central. Thus it seems to a hung parliament in 15th Loksabha in 2014.
Survey also shows Trinamool Congress (AITMC) is
emerging as third largest party after BJP & Congress with 31 seats followed
by BSP with 26, SP with 23, AIADMK with 20 seats & Lefts with just 14 seats
in their tally.
The NDA is projected to get 227 and the UPA just 136, which leaves
180 seats with others. Some of the biggest among them are mutually incompatible
like the Trinamool and the Left Front or BSP and SP. That could make government
formation an extremely complicated exercise come May next year. Although it seems after 2014 LS poll Lefts
will lose its importance in national politics except in few left minded media.
These are the major findings of the first nation wise survey
& opinion polls by Ma Mati Manush Blog carried out throughout the nation in
October’13. This projection suggests that the majority mark of 272 in the
543-member Lok Sabha will not be achieved by any pre-election formation.
