It seems so, that once famous for its excellence now Jadavpur University become infamous for its Jehadi Anti-Nantional movements.
Even Bengal Governor says Jadavpur University Becoming
'Center For Disturbance'..
On 6th May’16 again clashes erupted
in Jadavpur University over screening of Vivek Agnihotri’s film between
Anti-Indian Leftist student group Vs ABVP’s extremists. Female students also
allegedly molested by ABVP men.
Controversy has erupted on
Friday 6th May’16 at Jadavpur University over the open air screening
of Vivek Agnihotri’s film “Buddha In A Traffic Jam.” There were protests by
university students and ABVP activists who had organised the screening. The
university authorities on Friday filed a police complaint against four
outsiders — three of them ABVP activists — for allegedly molesting some girl
students.
The film was supposed to be
screened at Triguna Sen Auditorium on the campus by the AVBP but was later
cancelled. Despite protests by Left wing students, the film was screened on one
of the university grounds. As Mr. Agnihotri’s car approached the campus, the
Left wing students raised slogans such as “ABVP go back”, “RSS go back”, “Down
with Fascism”. In the evening, the presence of Dramabaz BJP leaders like Roopa
Ganguly outside the campus made the situation more volatile.
Months ago, the university
witnessed a similar situation when a section of students raised controversial
slogans. Left wing students’ organization and AVBP activists had come face to
face then.
Jadavpur University is really becoming a
hub of Anti-National when Anti-National activists can hold meeting in JU what’s
wrong in screening of a film??
Buddha in a Traffic Jam is a
film - Starring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mahie Gill, and Arunoday Singh,
'Buddha in a Traffic Jam' aims to “expose the nexus between NGOs, naxalites and
the academia”. The film is directed by Vivek Agnihotri.Eighty per cent of the
film was shot at Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, and the cast and
crew stayed at the campus.
Riots
broke out in Jadavpur University as members of left-aligned student union
clashed with volunteers of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) over the
screening of Buddha
at a traffic jam. Several ABVP workers were rushed to hospital
amid the clashes. High alert has been issued by local police.
The
controversy triggered off when the director Vivek Agnihotri reached
Jadavpur University to screen his movie. However, the students of All India
Students’ Association (AISA), Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and
Democratic Students Union (DSU) staged a massive protest and gheraoed the
filmmaker. Not only was his screening cancelled by the student union, but
Agnihotri was demanded to leave the campus at earliest.
The agitating students said they have nothing against the screening of the film, but were protesting against the "divisive content" in it, which also stars Anupam Kher.
Some female students were allegedly molested during the melee that ensued after the incident, police said.
In the end we must give credit to VC Suranjan Ghosh Dastidar for controlling the situation from getting worse.
Actually student unrest has become a common phenomenon in Jadavpur
University. The screening of a film, cleared by the Censor Board, was stopped
illegally. The trend of CPI(M) and Left-backed student unions of JU has been to
stop anything that is against their ideology, which is totally against the
country’s democratic set up.
In-fact these leftists’ student groups are harmful for society they
are nothing but a bunch of Lumpen & Hooligans.I have already written about
it:
Know the SFI & CPM.. Link: http://mamatimanushofwb.blogspot.in/2013/04/know-sfi-cpm-they-are-nothing-but-bunch.html
Apart from it we must
also condemn Saffronic Extremism of ABVP as they can’t take laws in to their
hand. India’s secularism and religious harmony must be prevailed but above all
India’s integrity should get top priority.
